The accolades were bestowed upon him at the 26th Annual General Meeting of the PMI Malaysia Chapter on March 23, 2024, under the stewardship of PMI Malaysia Chapter President, Dr Joshua Netto.

Since its inception, the symbiotic relationship between APU and PMIMY has propelled shared interests in advancing project management practices in Malaysia, underscoring the university's dedication to excellence in project management education.

Ts Jerry Chong assumed the pivotal role of "Director-at-Large, Volunteer Experience" for the chapter from April 2023 to March 2024, earning commendation from Dr Joshua Netto, who remarked, “Jerry has been instrumental in his contributions to our chapter, needless to say, recruiting, engaging, and retaining our valued volunteers. This greatly differs from managing a talent pool of employees in corporate or for-profit-driven organisations.”

Dr Joshua highlighted Jerry's creative leadership and resilience, which were pivotal in maintaining a robust volunteer base amidst competing priorities.

Dr Joshua emphasised that the partnership not only grants APU students access to PMIMY's extensive resources and networking opportunities but also enhances the university's stature as a centre for project management excellence.

Under this synergistic alliance, APU students will benefit from industry insights through guest lectures, career talks, and seminars, aligning their learning outcomes with industry standards and best practices.

With PMIMY's wealth of educational resources and industry connections, students gain invaluable knowledge and stay abreast of current trends, enriching their academic experience.

Two accolades bestowed upon Ts Jerry Chong Chean Fuh were PMIMY Presidential Award 2024 and Chapter Director Appreciation 2023/2024.

Associate Professor Dr Thang Ka Fei, Senior Head of APU's School of Technology, lauded the partnership's impact on brand recognition and student engagement, stating, “We are proud that the fruits of our collaboration are evident today through the dual recognitions Ts Jerry Chong received from PMIMY. Congratulations!”

In conclusion, the APU and PMIMY collaboration heralds a new era of excellence in project management education, poised to benefit students and fortify ties with industry partners.
