Exploring the Future of Events Through Technology at Evenesis

APU School of Global Hospitality and Tourism (SoGHT) students visited Evenesis, where they gained industry exposure to event technology, AI-driven solutions and hybrid event operations through talks, interviews and an office tour, strengthening their understanding of real-world business event practices.

The future of the events industry is rapidly evolving, driven by technology, innovation and changing audience expectations. 

Recognising the importance of preparing students for this dynamic landscape, students from the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation’s (APU) School of Global Hospitality and Tourism (SoGHT), specialising in Event Management and Hospitality & Tourism, embarked on an educational industry visit to Evenesis (Y Us Sdn. Bhd.) on 10 June 2026.

Located at Hive 6, MRANTI Technology Park in Kuala Lumpur, Evenesis is a leading provider of in-person, virtual and hybrid event technology solutions, helping organisations streamline event planning, management and engagement through innovative digital platforms.

The visit aimed to strengthen industry–academia collaboration through experiential learning while providing students with first-hand exposure to the latest technologies transforming the business events industry. 

It also enhanced their understanding of how digital solutions, artificial intelligence and innovation were reshaping the way modern events were planned and delivered.

Ts. Yusno Yunos, Founder and CEO of Evenesis, shared insights with APU students on the latest trends in the business events industry, highlighting AI-driven event technology, sustainable event solutions and innovations shaping in-person, virtual and hybrid events.


For Event Management students, the visit formed part of their course assessment, where they interviewed industry professionals to gain deeper insights into the adoption of event technology, emerging industry trends, operational challenges and real-world practices. 

These discussions allowed students to connect theoretical concepts learned in the classroom with practical experiences from industry experts.

Meanwhile, Hospitality & Tourism students benefited from the visit as part of their Business Events Management module, gaining a broader understanding of the business events ecosystem, event technology applications and the operational requirements behind successful in-person, virtual and hybrid events.

During the engagement session, students interacted with Ms Hawanisa Roslan, Sales Manager, and Mr Shahrinrezal Sa’at, Customer Experience Leader at Evenesis, who shared valuable insights into event operations, customer engagement strategies and the role of technology in enhancing event experiences.

Event Management students also conducted an interview session with Ms Anitha Krishnan, Global Sales & Partnership Director at Evenesis, exploring how technology had become an essential component in modern business events and how industry professionals adapted to changing market demands.

The learning experience continued with a guided tour of the Evenesis office, where students discovered the company’s AI-powered event technology solutions and gained insights into how sustainable practices and digital innovation supported the delivery of diverse event formats.

The programme concluded with a group photo session featuring students, lecturers, Ts Yusno Yunos, Founder and CEO of Evenesis, and the Evenesis team at the company’s headquarters. 

During the closing session, Ts Yusno shared valuable perspectives on current industry developments, including the growing role of artificial intelligence, sustainable event management practices and emerging innovations shaping the future of business events.

Students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals and gain a deeper understanding of the evolving events landscape.

Choo Thananya shared that the engagement session had provided valuable insights into the industry.

“I gained a better understanding of how the event management industry operates and the key aspects involved in organising successful events.”

Nguyen Thien Phuc highlighted the importance of gaining practical exposure to the business events sector.

The industry visit to Evenesis provided APU students with a meaningful learning experience that extended beyond the classroom. 

By exploring the intersection between technology, creativity and event management, students gained valuable industry knowledge, and a clearer understanding of the skills needed to thrive in the future of the business events sector.
